NCT Asia Pacific is coming to Japan for its third edition!Taking place in Tokyo from May 29-31 2018, NCT Asia Pacific is organized in partnership with a local organizing committee formed by high-level representatives of the Japanese Government. The event will kick-start with a live capability demonstration by the JGSDF on the first day, followed by a two-day conference and large indoor exhibition which will bring together national and international civil and military CBRNe stakeholders from all over the Asian region.

The conference will be chaired by Dr. Makoto Akashi, Executive Officer of the National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology (QST) and keynote speakers include the Commanders of Japan’s Chemical School Ground Self-Defense Force, the National Institute of Public Health and the Japanese Institute for NBCR Defense.

NCT Asia Pacific will provide updates on CBRNe emergency preparedness and response in the Asia Pacific region and will give the opportunity to get insights in the CBRNe countermeasures developed by the Japanese Government in preparation of the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics, as well as provide an overview of the future capability development ambitions of the JGSDF.

Topics to be discussed include lessons learned from nuclear disasters, medical countermeasures for CBRNe, securing High Visibility Events and new trends in decontamination solutions. The event’s regional focus ensures participation of CBRNe actors from the Asia Pacific region, including Japanese representatives, as well as official delegations from countries such as Singapore, Korea, China, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and the USA.
